New World Formula Gear Charts
Ziggy's Motorworks is now supplying World Formula engines with the special heavy-duty gearbox with high strength crankshaft. This gearbox was specially designed and tested by Briggs and Stratton to provide the ultimate reliability for quarter midget racing. The gearbox has a 6.07 gear ratio vs. the 5.73 ratio of the older gearboxes. Ziggy's has developed a new gear chart for this ratio.
The new QMA Tech director has issued a statement that potentially affects the large majority of GX 120 and GX 160 engines in use today. The point in question is the manner in which legality is determined while checking the main jet during technical inspection. Because of a new interpretation of a long standing procedure all engines must be inspected, regardless of past tech approvals or engine builder used. I have appealed this to my best ability and have failed, therefore I am recommending that every Ziggy Honda engine receive a new main jet in order to maintain legality. We can not be held responsible for any disqualifications that may result from this new policy, so please spread the word to all competitors in any Honda class. Ziggy's deeply regrets any inconvenience this may cause you, and we are acting as timely as possible in order to assure your continued satisfaction with our products. In keeping with established QMA policies, please direct any comment to your Regional director first, so as to avoid needless COC charges. Thank you for your immediate attention to this matter.
