Since 1993, Ziggy's Motorworks has been involved in researching and producing engines for quarter midget racing. This has been both a challenging and rewarding endeavor, and we have had the opportunity to travel the USA to meet many of you and to support our products. Recently,I have been offered a full time employment position with a local organization that offers new opportunities and challenges to me and I have accepted that position. Because of this decision, Ziggy's Motorworks will cease operations by March 1, 2012. My deepest thanks to all the fine people that we have crossed paths with, I am truly grateful for the personal and business relationships that we have had. Important Note From Ziggy
As quarter midget racers, we have all enjoyed many years of great racing using the GX120 and GX160 platforms. Honda was instrumental in providing QMA and USAC with affordable and reliable engines. As many of you are aware, the EPA production requirements placed on Honda in recent years, as well as for future years, have brought about continuing changes within these engines. Because these engines are intended to be stock only and are used for the purpose of racing, it has become extremely difficult to maintain consistency in these classes as well as to keep the cost down. With this in mind, QMA has taken a bold step for the future of quarter midget racing and decided to bring the Briggs Animal into their racing platform while phasing out the current Honda program. We would like to thank Honda and Dave King in particular for all of their support and dedication to our sport and certainly hope that the Quarter Midget/Honda association has been mutually beneficial.
Briggs and Stratton has been developing the Animal engine which provides an exciting new stock racing alternative. These engines are built in the U.S. specifically for racing. They are exempt from EPA requirements and have a ten year history of consistent production as well as a competitive pricing structure.

Stronger World Formula
Ziggy's Motorworks supplies World Formula engines with the special heavy-duty gearbox with high strength crankshaft. This gearbox was specially designed and tested by Briggs and Stratton to provide the ultimate reliability for quarter midget racing. The gearbox has a 6.07 gear ratio vs. the 5.73 ratio of the older gearboxes. Ziggy's has developed a new gear chart for this ratio.
